We are looking for an ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR to join our Philippine office based in Cebu Exchange Tower, Salinas Drive, Lahug, Cebu City (IT Park).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the preparation of periodic financial statements and the corporate annual report. of Junior staff or in house accountants
- Ensures that financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
- Assists external auditors and provides required statements and information for the annual audit
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Recruits and hires Accounting staff and conducts performance evaluations
- Implements training for new hires and identifies training opportunities for current staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 4 years accounting experience in a CPA Firm (Accounting or Audit or BPO services)
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements and the month-end/year-end close process
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages,
- Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Accuracy and attention to detail, Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- Excellent management and supervisory skills as well as written & Communication skills
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
- Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Available as soon as possible – Full time, 5 working days a week
